It will be Bigger, Better, Safer and more exciting for everyone!! To be known as the Yeoval ‘Country Energy’ Mulga Bill Festival, our community of Yeoval will host a wonderful 3 days of Festival, with something for everybody and a great time for everyone. The proposed programme is as follows:- Friday 24th: Buckinbah Art Show opening with the special feature of the unveiling of the head of Henry Moore Sculpture and the judging of the “ Under the Eyes of Henry Moore”, the inaugural annual Sculpture Competition, sponsored by our very amiable Dairy Farmers Vendor Mr Dave Doolan known to many as ‘Dave the Magic Milkman’. Friday evening will be an absolutely fabulous Country Energy sponsored Giant Fireworks Display, something to rival New Years eve in Sydney. To be held at the Yeoval Oval where spectators can enjoy the spectacle from the comfort of their own cars - a sausage sizzle and jumping castle will ensure a very enjoyable evening and everyone will be home early ready for an exciting weekend Saturday 25th:A great Picnic Day in the Banjo Paterson Bush Park with everyone invited; Huge display of Vintage, Veteran and present day Motorcycles from all over western NSW and beyond; Wandering buskers, Poets in the Park, BBQ and Camp-oven Lunch, real coffee and a large tent where you will all be invited to spend a little time painting your name, a poem or a scene from a Banjo Paterson poem, for permanent display on a windbreak wall on the Poet’s Walk. A short fun bike ride, children’s play area, mini golf and the very successful scale model aircraft Flying display at the showground; an Art Display in the Hall, Poets walk along Buckinbah Creek. A bus will be leaving every 20 minutes, doing the loop, providing ease of transport and allowing everyone to visit everything. Saturday evening will again see a repeat of the very successful Yeoval Quickshear Competition at the Yeoval Royal Hotel, where real shearers shear real sheep under lights to compete for $3000 in prizemoney. Sunday 26th: The Yeoval Country Energy Mulga Bill Festival Gala Day will be held at the Yeoval Showground. Lots of Stalls, the Art Tent, Vintage Cars, Vintage Tractors, Trucks and Machinery, Poets in the Park, Aircraft Flying at the Showground, all Day Music, Bands, Sculptor working, Children’s Play area, Mini Golf, Morning and afternoon Teas at the Red Cross Shop, Art at the Hall and the Museum will be open all day. Breakfast and Lunch in the Park. The very popular Darryl Grant Mulga Bill Ride will be held once again, starting in Yeoval and travelling on closed asphalt roads - riders will finish back where they started. This family ride will be very safe and very exciting as riders ride to Eaglehawk, Conroy’s Gap, Castlereagh, or Deadman’s Creek. The scenery is spectacular, the asphalt road easy going and the trip in from 1km to 30kms - you choose your own distance. .
