This park is named after the property ‘Buckinbah’ Station on the outskirts of Yeoval, which was owned by Banjo’s parents. Our small block of land in the main street of Yeoval was purchased by the Yeoval Historical Society from Cabonne Council and then turned into a park for the comfort of travelers. The park offers sturdy tables and seating and is opposite the public toilets. Trees have been donated and planted in the park by Mrs Rosamund Campbell, Banjo Paterson’s granddaughter, the AJC, the Royal Agricultural Society, Mrs Grace Sparkes, the O’Halloran Family, the Law Society of NSW and another by the past president of the Law Society, Mr Gordon Salier. Mr & Mrs Les Hunter, local residents have donated a one of the oldest dwellings in the district to be used as a shelter shed & local handyman Mr Vic Kanovas has built log table & seats for travellers to use. There has even been a report of 2 emus taking up residence!!!
